About Me
I started my career in Marketing in London with a sponsorship from BP (BA 1st Class Honours Business Studies, Diploma Chartered Institute of Marketing, Bsc Honours Psychology) and I have worked for many prestigious companies, including some years in senior Marketing Director roles at Lloyds TSB and Barclays Bank, and six wonderful years as a Management Consultant with Price Waterhouse.
I am passionate about my work, in addition to being very organised and client-focussed, and I bring energy, enthusiasm, fun and dynamism to whatever I do. I have always enjoyed variety in my career which is why I have continued to work in Marketing consultancy but I also retrained to Teach English as a Foreign Language and launched my business Relocation & Beyond with my partner Pascale, using my considerable knowledge of Monaco to help people move to the principality with comfort and ease.
I am accustomed to tutoring and coaching at all levels, including using my business background to work with adult clients needing support with technical professional vocabulary and assisting with live business problems. This includes working on professional presentations, business analysis, role playing and preparation for negotiations. My experience as a Management Consultant and a Marketing Director enables me to enhance the English competence of clients in professional businesses, wealth management and family offices.
I also enjoy working with young people. I have taught English in a Monaco Primary school, I was a leader in the Girl Guides Association for many years, and since 2014 I have worked with young people at the Outward Bound Monaco charity, where I am General Secretary and Head of Marketing & Communications. I tutor Monaco and French children and teenagers face to face or by Zoom/Teams after school, and can offer more intensive courses during the school holidays.
Also regarding my language work, my French is very competent but I speak with my clients in English as much as possible – practice is the best way to improve. I am also an excellent translator and I work regularly for business clients on the production and translation of their websites and marketing material.
